What You'll Do
As a Payroll Specialist at SPAR, you'll be the backbone of our payroll operations—ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for multi-state employees. Your attention to detail, knowledge of payroll systems, and commitment to service will help drive our team forward.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and input payroll data in Workday/OSV for multi-state operations
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Resolve employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and urgency
  • Handle garnishments, tax deductions, and benefit deductions accurately
  • Prepare detailed payroll reports (monthly, quarterly, year-end)
  • Maintain and update payroll records, reports, and headcount data
  • Conduct payroll-related employment verifications as needed
  • Support internal audits and training related to payroll functions
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to improve payroll processes

What You Bring

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of end-to-end payroll experience
  • Experience with Workday and/or OneSource Virtual (OSV) required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
