What You'll Do
The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality administrative and financial data entry support to the Finance department. Under the direction of the Finance Manager, this role ensures that financial documentation is accurately entered, validated, and maintained in accordance with internal procedures and client requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out the essential duties with accuracy and efficiency. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter supplier and customer invoices into Workday.
  • Validate data entries and cross-reference against supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain well-organized digital and physical records of processed invoices and related documents.
    Track and monitor invoice statuses across systems, ensuring timely submission and follow-up as needed.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external partners to confirm invoice information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Follow established finance and data entry procedures and assist with updating process documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support and participate in ad hoc data entry or finance-related projects as assigned.
  • Function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where attention to detail and collaboration are essential.

What You Bring

  • Must possess strong attention to detail and demonstrate high levels of accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Organizational skills are essential to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., sorting, filtering, and basic formulas); experience with Workday or similar systems is a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must work well independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
  • Experience in a finance or accounting support role is preferred; accounts receivable (AR) experience is helpful but not required.
